What Needed to Be Built

Open-world battle royale combat, multiplayer synchronization, backend progression and wallet-based asset ownership needed to operate as one product across a large map with many simultaneous players. A play-to-earn token economy had to support real player payouts without breaking game balance. Blockchain interactions also had to run alongside gameplay without interrupting moment-to-moment combat.

Technical Implementation

Open-world battle royale combat runs on Photon PUN 2 with network-safe hit detection for melee, ranged and samurai-style attacks across a large concurrent player count. PlayFab handles player accounts, progression and the reward economy. ChainSafe wallet integration connects to Ethereum smart contracts for NFT ownership and the Azuma Coin (AZUM) token economy, running alongside gameplay without interrupting combat.
